The team at JDL Constructions did an amazing job on the renovation of our 98 year old Queenslander. From architect drawings to the completed job the professionalism, attention to the smallest detail and commitment to quality to bring our ideas into a beautiful new living space was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, communication throughout the entire build was responsive and nothing was left to chance. We would highly recommend Kieran and his team to complete your build, on time and to a standard that you will be absolutely happy with. JDL made our ideas come to life in what is a spectacular new living space.

My husband and I recently renovated our home and couldn't be happier with JDL Construction for their workmanship, organisation and communication. We started renovations in a very unusual time when Covid forced many changes to a lot of businesses. We were fortunate to continue with our plan to renovate, one we were so thankful to finally start after months of planning. The whole process during our renovations with JDL was smooth, very organised, so straight forward and transparent, we didn't experience any issues that couldn't be overcome with a simple conversation. The team was so great to deal with and nice to be spoken to as an equal client and not as the 'wife'. Our renovations completed on time as per our agreement and we thankfully we didnt experience any horror stories. We would highly recommend JDL Construction for any future renovations. Do yourself a favour and hire the team, they make renovating stress-free. Our home is exactly what we wanted and are so happy with how it all turned out.

I recently finished renovating my house with JDL construction and the whole process from start to finish has been a dream. I had read many reports on social media of dodgy builders who were hard to work with who added on hidden costs however, my experience with JDL could not have been further from this! From my first meeting with Kieran to final handover, communication was five stars and the entire team was a pleasure to deal with. I have a quirky 80+ year old home that provided some challenges for the team. The whole process was outlined from start to finish and the biggest compliment that I can give was that my project was delivered very close to budget! I also feel I need to add that as a single woman renovating my property, I was always treated with respect. This has not always been my experience with tradespeople in the past. The entire team was wonderful to be involved with. Alick, my site manager has been a gem from start to finish. No question was too small and I was never made to feel ignorant. My neighbours commented on how lovely the team was as well and had no complaints during the 8 month renovation process. Finally, the quality of the work that JDL has provided has been second to none and I am delighted with the final product. I've already recommended JDL to several friends and colleagues who have also commenced building and/or renovating with them and I can give no higher compliment than that. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the future.

We recently had a great experience chatting with Kieran from JDL Construction about our extension project. Kieran took the time to carefully look over our plans and offered really practical solutions. He even connected us with some trusted tradespeople he's worked with, which was super helpful. We tried to thank him for his generosity, but he kindly declined any payment for his advice. The quality of customer service, communication, and genuine care we received from JDL Construction were fantastic. We definitely recommend them to anyone who wants friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable help with their projects. Thanks again Kieran!

I am so happy we have choose JDL to be our builder for house renovation! They are professional, friendly(and kids friendly) easygoing and price wise! We love all the builders they have! If I need to do another renovation they will be my only choice!

My wife and I engaged JDL to build an extra bedroom & bathroom on the back of our house. The extension was custom-built offsite by Bretts Hardware and craned into place connecting to our existing deck. The whole experience was streamlined and cost-effective. We're also really happy that the modular blends in well with our character home. JDL are a family run business, great communicators and a pleasure to deal with. We would, without a doubt, recommend JDL to anyone looking for a professional and reliable builder.

Our experience with Kieran & Ray at JDL has been nothing short of exceptional. From our first conversation, we really felt Kieran & Ray were on our team, and took the time to listen and understand our vision; delivering a beautiful concept design that we absolutely love, right from the very beginning. Their passion for Queenslander renovations shone through and we really felt they took the time to ensure those heritage features were carried through into the new design. They were always available to chat, offer advice and provide solutions to help us see what options were available to us. We never felt rushed or pressured to make decisions, and really valued their expertise and guidance when making revisions and reviewing costings. We wished we’d called JDL from the beginning, and we are so thankful they were able to help us bring our vision to life. Thank you Kieran and Ray, we couldn’t fault our experience and would highly recommend JDL to anybody.

Right from the start JDL were professional, friendly and accommodating - John, Kieran and their team were a pleasure to work with. They successfully dealt with all the challenges a post-war bungalow major renovation and a top floor addition could offer and delivered us a magnificent, contemporary, high quality built home to live in. We were suitably impressed with Kieran and John from our first meeting with them. Not only were they able to convey a wealth of experience that only a truly seasoned builder could, they also had an innovative and progressive approach to their documentation and administration. Quotes and proposals were very clearly laid out and itemised, which gave us a good understanding as well as a basis for comparison with other builders we were reviewing. This transparency, along with their obvious understanding of our vision and budgetary constraints were the primary reasons we elected to use JDL Constructions for our renovation. During the build, in fact right from the start, they demonstrated that innovation through problem solving of some complex initial challenges and constant high level communication. This build was a very personal project for us, one we were very much invested in both financially and emotionally, and at times we must have been challenging clients (sorry guys!). However John and Kieran always had time for us, and were very accommodating with our crazy last minute design changes wherever possible. When we did have minor misunderstandings (as I’m sure there are on all projects) they were always handled professionally and fairly – in fact sometimes more than fairly, by the JDL team. The end result is that we were delivered a beautiful home which shows as much care and thoughtfulness in the build, as we put into the design. We have had a number of post-build follow up appointments with JDL, and their willingness to address minor matters that have cropped up as the house settles has given us great reassurance and proven that our trust in them was well founded. We are already dreaming up our next big building project, and wouldn’t hesitate to use JDL again in the future – in fact I’m sure that we will!

The experience with JDL through the renovations and extension of our house built in 1950 was exceptional. At concept/design stage, Kieran and Ray thoughtfully took into account our uses of the different areas of the house and carefully tied in the new extension elements with the old character part of the house, which meant so much to us. The design is now so functional and efficient and modern yet true to the character of the house. They were always upfront and honest with how much things cost. They finished the renovations within budget and on time. Everything was communicated from start to finish. The almost daily photo updates and descriptions was such good service and put our minds at ease. The staff and tradespeople have great workmanship and attention to detail. Everyone was kind and friendly to deal with. We have lived in our renovated house for a little over a year now and everything has kept beautifully and we are so happy with it. We would highly recommend JDL (alongside UPD8 Design) and would gladly use them again in the future.
